Cats and Critters Policies
Information Sheet Policy: FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND RETURNED TO JULIE AT CATS AND CRITTERS PET SITTING PRIOR TO FIRST DAY OF CARE.
Please know, first and foremost, that if there are any issues with your pet, we will make every attempt to contact you immediately.
This form may seem at little excessive at first glance. We want to make sure that if there is an emergency and we are unable to contact you, we have as much information as possible to provide to veterinary staff so that your pet can receive prompt and proper care.
- Emergencies never happen at a convenient time and we must have an emergency contact in the event that we are unable to contact you, especially if you know you will be in an area with poor cell phone reception or you will not readily have access to a phone. In addition, we must also know how you wish to proceed with treatment if we cannot contact you or your emergency contact. This is vital to obtaining timely treatment for your pet.
- Veterinary hospitals generally require payment at time of treatment. If any employee of Cats and Critters Pet Sitting is directly responsible for the cause of the medical emergency, Cats and Critters Pet Sitting will gladly cover the full cost of treatment. However, many emergencies can arise that are not the fault of a pet sitter (i.e. urethral obstructions, egg binding, etc.). Cats and Critters Pet Sitting employees are experienced at noticing the symptoms of these and other potentially life threatening medical conditions and will immediately take your pet for emergency care, but require that you accept responsibility for the cost of treatment in these situations.
- We simply want to be as thorough as possible so that we are able to provide the best care to your pet. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy or the information form, please feel free to contact us any time via phone, text, or email.
Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans change. Should you need to cancel, please notify us within 48 hours of your first service day. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to first service day, a cancellation fee of your first service day plus $15 will be billed to you or deducted from your deposit refund.
Daily Visit Policy: Cats and Critters Pet Sitting requires daily visits for cats, birds, and some reptiles. While your pet may be perfectly fine without daily visits, we believe that while in our care, it is essential to check on your pet daily. Medical conditions such as urethral obstructions in cats or birds & reptiles that become egg bound can lead to a rapid decline in health, requiring immediate veterinary care. Checking in on your pet at least once daily can help him/her get medical attention more quickly should he/she need it.
Payment Policy: A 50% deposit is required no later than the day of the Meet & Greet. The remaining balance is due in full no later than 7 days after last day of care. Payments can be made in the form of cash, Venmo, or PayPal which accepts all major credit cards. A PayPal link is provided above under "How It Works" for your convenience. We do not accept personal checks. Cats and Critters Pet Sitting will provide receipts for all payments. Additionally, if you would like an itemized invoice, you may request one any time and it will be emailed via PayPal.
